Commercial Garage Environments

Customers and employees demand increasing standards so it’s important to present our working areas as professional, clean and safe. This could mean using a durable slip resistant garage floor paint or a particular brand colour to ensure your business looks attractive.

We have invested in a full research and development program to develop our range of garage floor paints to ensure our customers get excellent coverage rates, in a range of colours to protect the concrete floors and surfaces in car showrooms, workshops or warehouses with high traffic areas contaminated with oil, grease, and petrol stains.

We know the wear and tear of a single mechanic standing in the same area can have as much an effect on a floor as a fleet of forklifts in a warehouse so the correct of floor paint and preparation is vital. Old and flaky garage floor paint is a common feature that usually occurs due to lack of preparation. Therefore, it is important for garage owners to not only understand what the best epoxy paint for a garage floor is but also the importance of correct substrate preparation.

Our garage floor paints are suitable for almost any garage environment

Domestic Environments

There are many reasons why you should paint your garage floor. An epoxy garage floor paint will do a lot more than make your garage look attractive. It will act as one of the strongest, most durable and long-lasting paints you can apply to your garage floor.

Cheap garage concrete floor paints are not always cost-effective and are not suitable to withstand high-traffic areas and will eventually become damaged where the concrete is visible. This, however, is a result of abrasion and not peeling off the floor paint.

Less expensive, often single-pack paint products are also prone to hot tyre pickups. This is where the heat of the tyre lifts the garage floor paint from the concrete floor. It is not always a sign of poor floor preparation and is likely to be due to the low solids content in the paint.

Our epoxy garage paints are available in a range of colours including green, tile red, light grey and many more

Essential Maintenance For Garage Floors

Many garage owners find themselves having to paint their garage floor regularly due to the constant wear and tear. This can be caused by heavy duty impacts, car tyre marks and chemical spills. Contaminants such as oil, paint, white spirit, and petrol stains leaving unsightly patches on flooring.

Before painting your garage floor, it is important to understand what the problem areas are in order to buy the most suitable product as a solution.

Epoxy floor paint needs a clean and porous substrate in order to bond to concrete. In order to achieve the correct substrate preparation, acid etching of the concrete needs to be done.

Shot blasting or grinding of the concrete are preferred methods. However, we recommend using highly skilled specialists/resin flooring contractors for these methods as the concrete floor can be damaged easily.
