Polycote UK’s Quick Coat EP is a high quality quick drying esterbased epoxy coating formulation designed to allow the shortest possible downtime when demarcating heavily trafficked areas such as car parks, paths, walkways and cycle ways.
Quick Coat EP will withstand heavy traffic in only 2 hours and is tack free in only 20 mins.

Suitable substrates

Quickcoat EP may be applied to concrete, brick, epoxy coatings and tarmac. Please see ‘Application’ for more information. Contains lead: Should not be applied to surfaces that are liable to be chewed or sucked.

Colour

Quickcoat EP comes in 9 standard colours. Other colours are available on request but are subject to a minimum order. Please contact the Polycote technical help line for more information.

Packaging

Quickcoat EP is supplied in 20kg containers with 0.2-0.5mm Molochite non-slip aggregate.

Curing time @15°C Touch dry in 10 minutes

Application temperature +10°C - +25°C

Coverage 2.4m2 per kg

Shelf life & storage 6 months

Preparation

Do not apply this product if the surface is damp, wet or frosty.
Ensure the surface is clean dry and free from loose or flaking material, dirt, grease and vegetative growth. Vacuum or pressure blasting with air or water may remove any debris. Friable or porous concrete should be stabilised first. If applying to new asphalt, any fluxes/oils will need removing before application. Any shiny surfaces may require special preparation, please contact Polycote for further details.
New concrete should be allowed to mature for several months before coating. The best period for application is between April and October while strictly observing coating temperatures and conditions.

Application

Stir can well before use.
Apply an even coat either by brush roller or by airless spray. The best finish will be achieved by airless spray.
Airless Spray – Apply one coat for a closed surface. TIP – If you are to use airless spray we recommend a nozzle size of 35 thou.
Roller – Simply roller on Quickcoat EP. Do not pour onto surface, apply via roller.
