Professional Help and Advice:

We know only too well that the wear and tear of a single operative simply standing in the same area for long periods of time can have as much an effect on a floor as a fleet of forklifts in a large warehouse.

No matter if you have a large or small requirement, if you are not sure which product to use, please feel free to contact our technical experts who will establish exactly what your issues are, along with the maximum amount of downtime you can allow to complete any work. Only then will we advise the best preparation, the best primer (if necessary) and the best Floor Paint top-coat option, to meet YOUR specific needs.

Important: Condition of Substrate

If the substrate is unstable, dusty, suffering from oil contamination or rising damp, it is very important that you contact our technical team to establish the suitability of this product or to discuss an alternative product more suited to your needs.

It is far more important to us to offer the RIGHT solution and have a happy customer, than a quick sale ending in disappointment!

Preparation:Thorough substrate preparation is essential.Recommended methods are:
Powerfloated concrete – use a Vacuum Assisted Shotblaster to remove weak laitence and provide a surface key for the coating. If this is not possible, chemically etch with Polycote Etch IT then rinse thoroughly and allow to dry.
Loose paint or rust – remove, using a Vacuum Assisted Shotblaster, Floor Grinder or equivalent method.
Oil or grease – use Hot Compressed Air for large areas of contamination. Smaller, isolated deposits may be chemically cleaned with Polycote Degrease IT, then rinsed thoroughly and allowed to dry.
Timber – remove any loose paint and abrade thoroughly. Ensure surface is clean and free of dust, oil and grease.
See relevant Data Sheet prior to application. Once prepared, the area must be kept clean and free of traffic.

Mixing:
Having fully prepared the substrate, stir the individual components before mixing together. Add Part ‘B’ to Part ‘A’ and thoroughly mix for at least 3 minutes. For best results use a heavy duty slow speed drill with a mixing paddle.
Ensure thorough mixing as an unmixed product will result in a poor or non-cure situation.

Application:
Apply by brush or roller, making sure that the surface is completely covered. Particular attention should be given to doorways and other areas of high traffic. When finished DO NOT scrape the remaining contents from the container as this will invariably contain unmixed raw resin.
A second coat of Flortex SG should be applied after initial curing has taken place – approximately 16-24 hours.
