Flortex® Chemical Coat Sealer is a two part fast curing aliphatic solvent-based polyurethane product which can be used either as a primer for Flortex Chemical Coat or as a clear UV stable top coat with a gloss finish. Designed for areas of harsh or extended chemical attack, Flortex® Chemical Coat Sealer is suitable for chemical bunds as well as general floor areas. It is ideal for use in medical, food-processing and working environments. Designed primarily to be used on concrete surfaces.
Based on a temperature range of between +15°C and +20°C. The substrate and uncured floor must be kept at least 3ºC above the dew point to reduce the risk of condensation or blooming on the surface from before priming to at least 48 hours after application.

Surface Preparation:
THOROUGH SUBSTRATE PREPARATION IS ESSENTIAL. The surface to be treated should be free of laitance, oil, grease and loose friable particles which could affect adhesion. Vacuum assisted shot blasting or grinding of the surface is recommended. The substrate must have a maximum of 4% moisture content and be protected to any moisture ingress from underneath.
Mixing:
Having fully prepared the substrate, stir the individual components before mixing together. Add Part ‘B’ to Part ‘A’ and thoroughly mix for at least 3 minutes. For best results use a heavy duty slow speed drill with a mixing paddle. Keep all components at room temperature 24 hours before use.
ENSURE THOROUGH MIXING AS AN UNMIXED PRODUCT WILL RESULT IN A POOR OR NON-CURE SITUATION.
Application:
Apply immediately using a short nap lint-free mohair roller, making sure that the surface is completely covered. Particular attention should be given to doorways and other areas of high traffic. Ensure the material is not applied more than once or overlapped in any area and apply in one direction only. Do not apply subsequent coats until the previous coat is cured. This will depend on temperature, atmospheric humidity and degree of ventilation. The ambient temperature of the areas should not fall below 10°C throughout the application and curing period.
