A highly durable epoxy for mezzanine / suspended floors – Flortex Mezicoat offers chemical and abrasion resistance.
Due to a high volume of requests, we have produced another flexible formulation in the Flortex range to easily cope with the unique rigours of suspended flooring.
Due to the very nature of the flooring, typically wooden, metal or even a combination of both, Flortex Mezicoat easily adheres and remains in a sufficient state to cope with the normal expansion and contraction expected from these floors.
Provides a satin to gloss finish and Smooth or Slip Resistant finishes of Flortex Mezicoat are available.

Refer to technical data sheet for full product technical details.
Preparation:Thorough substrate preparation is essential.
Loose paint or rust – remove, using a Vacuum Assisted Shotblaster, Floor Grinder or Equivalent method. Oil or grease – use Hot Compressed Air for large areas of contamination. Smaller, isolated deposits may be chemically cleaned with Polycote Degrease IT, and then rinsed thoroughly and allowed to dry.
Timber – remove any loose paint and abrade thoroughly. Ensure surface is clean and free of dust, oil and grease.
See relevant Data Sheet prior to application.
Once prepared, the area must be kept clean and free of traffic.
Mixing:
Having fully prepared the substrate, stir the individual components before mixing together. Add Part ‘B’ to Part ‘A’ and thoroughly mix for at least 3 minutes. For best results use a heavy duty slow speed drill with a mixing paddle.
Ensure thorough mixing as an unmixed product will result in a poor or non-cure situation.
Application:
Apply by brush or roller, making sure that the surface is completely covered. Particular attention should be given to doorways and other areas of high traffic. When finished DO NOT scrape the remaining contents from the container as this will invariably contain unmixed raw resin.
A second coat of Flortex Mezicoat should be applied after initial curing has taken place – approximately 16-24 hours.
