Project Overview
A large air conditioning manufacturer required a full refurbishment of their industrial facility to improve durability, safety and workflow efficiency. The project covered a total area of 2,200 square metres and was delivered within a tight programme of approximately 15 days to minimise disruption to operations.

The project covered a total area of 2,200 square metres and was delivered within a tight programme of approximately 15 days to minimise disruption to operations.
Specification
- Diamond grinding of the existing floor using vacuum-assisted equipment, followed by re-vacuuming to remove all residual dust.
- Localised floor repairs carried out using Cretex OT Mortar.
- Priming of gangways and walkways using OT Primer.
- Priming of stairs using DPM Primer.
- Additional localised surface repairs completed using Easi-Fil.
- Application of Flortex Professional 100% solids pure epoxy resin topcoat in Mid Blue to provide a durable, seamless finish.
- Application of Flortex Freeflow to the Goods In and Goods Out area at an average thickness of 3mm, covering 507 square metres.
- Installation of linemarking as agreed on site using two coats of EPS Linemarker Safety Yellow, with 50mm lines either side of walkways.
- Installation of Duragrip Stair Nosings to improve slip resistance and safety.
- Re-cutting and filling of expansion joints using Jointex PU, totalling 120 linear metres.

The primary challenge was the condensed programme, with all works needing to be completed within a strict pre-Christmas deadline.
Careful sequencing was required to coordinate preparation, repairs, priming and multiple coating systems across different zones, while maintaining consistent quality and minimising downtime for the client.
Alongside this, the team was fully operation during the install and careful consideration had to be made so as not to disrupt the existing workflow.
