PSV indicates how effectively an aggregate resists polishing under tyre movement; materials used in demanding traffic zones generally require a value of 60 or above. With a PSV of 70, this fine-grade aggregate offers far greater friction retention, making it highly effective in areas where vehicle control and braking performance are critical.
The AAV rating further confirms its durability. AAV measures the material’s ability to withstand abrasion, with lower values representing superior resilience. At 1.7, this product is extremely close to the hardest-performing aggregates (typically around AAV 1), ensuring the surface maintains texture and safety characteristics even under sustained wear. This makes Fine Calcined Bauxite ideal for high-skid surfaces, detailed anti-slip systems and precision applications requiring both grip and longevity.
