DPM Primer
DPM Primer is a highly advanced twin pack epoxy. It has been formulated to provide an effective damp proof barrier onto concrete where there is a defective or non-existent damp proof membrane.
This solvent free epoxy resin includes a specialised water-repellent additive to form a tenacious moisture barrier,. It is highly resistant to rear side soaking from water and rising water levels.
Manufactured using ultra low viscosity resins also ensures excellent penetration into porous surfaces to not only seal but also harden the concrete itself. DPM Primer can also be used where the moisture levels within the substrate are simply too high for standard resins, prior to a finish / top coat being applied.

Product Use
Since 1991, Polycote have laid millions of square metres of epoxy floor paints and coatings in almost every environment throughout the UK.
DPM Primer is a system for substrates that have a residual moisture level greater than 75% RH. In particular, this can include permanently damp concrete floors or where the DPM (Damp Proof Membrane) is ineffective or missing.
Whilst DPM Primer is extremely strong and will withstand extremely heavy traffic it is recommended to be over-coated with an appropriate top coat. The reason for this is to protect the DPM Primer from surface impact or abrasion, as such damage could cause a break in the damp barrier.
If using over under-floor heating, please call our Technical Helpline to confirm suitability.
