Typical Uses
Stormcoat™ is ideal for the protection of all exterior masonry where maximum durability and resistance to dirt pick up is required.
Suitable Substrates
Following application of a suitable primer where applicable, Stormcoat™ may be applied to brick, block, concrete, render and plaster.

Stormcoat™ is supplied in 5 litre units.

Application temperature: +5°C.
Do not apply in damp conditions or if there is a likelihood of rain. This product is best applied early in the day to ensure full drying before any evening condensation cycle.
Coverage per unit: 30-35m²
Note: This is dependent on the texture and porosity of the surface.
Curing times:
Touch Dry @ 20°C: 30 minutes
Hard dry @20°C: 2 hours
Re-coatable: Minimum of 2 hours in dry conditions
Drying times will be extended at lower temperatures.

Surface Preparation
THOROUGH SUBSTRATE PREPARATION IS ESSENTIAL.
Ensure surface is clean, dry and free from dirt, grease and other contamination. Scrape back unsound surfaces and repair. Treat any algae or fungal growth with Polycote Destroy IT. Highly chalky and friable surfaces should be treated with Stormcoat Rubberised Sealer. Porous surfaces should be primed with Stormcoat Sealer. Application
Mixing – Stir thoroughly before use.
Thinners – Water.
Brush or Roller – Supplied ready for use. May be thinned 10% with water for first coat application onto porous surfaces although sealer is recommended. Two full coats will cover most surfaces.
Conventional spray – Thin with up to 10% water. Use 30-40 psi pressure and 1.8-2.5mm nozzle.
Airless spray – Thin with up to 5% water. Use 0.38-0.53mm nozzle and 2000 psi pressure.
Air assisted airless spray – Thin with up to 10% water. Use a 1.8-2.5mm nozzle and 1000-1500 psi pressure.
Curing Time
At 20˚C, Stormcoat™ is touch dry after 30 minutes, hard dry after 2 hours and re-coatable after a minimum of 2 hours in dry conditions. Drying times will be extended at lower temperatures.

Cleaning
Tools and equipment should be cleaned whilst product is still wet, using warm soapy water. Hands and skin should be cleaned immediately with organic hand cleaner.
Shelf Life and Storage
Store in cool, dry conditions above 5°C and protect from frost.
